In-Office Sessions

In Office Sessions

Office based sessions are run at Suite 3D / 341 Bong Bong St, Bowral. The room is modern, light and bright and there is plenty of parking available on Bong Bong St, Station St and Wattle Lane in Bowral. Toilet facilities are available and toys and activities are available for kids should you need to bring your baby or young child along with you. The closest train station is Bowral which is only a 5 minute walk from the office. Buses do also run past from time to time. The office is located in a central location, great for running a few errands before your session or grabbing a quick coffee and some fresh air after your session.

Telehealth Sessions

Telehealth sessions involve connecting via phone or online video conferencing platform Zoom. These sessions can be arranged for both during the day and after hours, by appointment.

There are a range of possible benefits to this style of therapy which include;

  • convenience
  • flexibility
  • the ability to ‘attend’ from any location
  • not incurring travel costs
  • reduced stress and anxiety being behind a phone or a screen which can increase feelings of personal comfort and safety
  • additional privacy because there is no risk of being seen sitting in a waiting room (if this is a concern you have)

The other potential benefit is that when you end your phone or video session you don’t have to walk out of a therapy space and straight back into life. If you are at home, in the comfort of your own space, you can end your session and go and grab a cup of your favourite tea, hug your pet, watch TV or cuddle up in bed… whatever you need to relax and gently ease back into your day or night.

* Please be aware, where possible, having your first session face-to-face before moving to a telehealth session can help build rapport and the therapeutic relationship. It also allows for smoother completion of intake procedures.

Walk and Talk

Walk and Talk Therapy

Want to get moving? Get some Vitamin D? Improve your mood? Why not try a walk with support! If you aren’t keen on more traditional sit down therapy then this could be for you. Combine fresh air and physical activity with your therapeutic work.

But don’t expect a workout – this is therapy, not personal training! The walk will be at your pace and we can stop and continue the session sitting down if you would prefer. The service is offered centrally within The Southern Highlands area and the exact location and meeting point will be given to you upon booking. Sessions run for 60 minutes.

Walk and Talk sessions are weather dependent and may be subject to change.

Obviously being in a public space there are limits to confidentiality. Don’t worry, we will go over what you would like to do should we run into someone you know whilst we are walking.
